“Education can’t wait”. A visit to the ecopark

Spring vacation with benefit and joy! As part of the “Education Can’t Wait” project, the children visited the “Kovalyvka” eco-park, where they were able to touch the local flora and fauna.

Caritas Poltava is concerned about the healthy psychological development of children, works and develops a range of services to support their mental well-being and harmonious development. From the beginning, the “Education Can’t Wait” project has been aimed at improving the psychosocial condition of students, parents/guardians and teachers during the crisis in Ukraine.

So recently, thanks to this project, IDP children visited one of the largest contact zoos in Ukraine – Kovalivka Ecopark.

Here, visitors were warmly greeted by lambs, goats, llamas and alpacas, which could be petted, hugged and fed. Many species of predators and domestic animals are represented in the ecopark.

It is impossible to pass by playful and friendly raccoons, raccoons, curious camels and funny piglets. Employees of the ecopark and teachers of Caritas Poltava, who conducted a tour of the territory, helped to get to know the animals.

The children were filled with good impressions after the visit to the ecopark, shared their emotions with their parents and took photos as a souvenir. We hope that the received positivity will remain in their hearts.

The project is implemented with the support of Caritas Ukraine and UNICEF.
