Caritas Poltava received an award from the city of Poltava

On the occasion of the International Volunteer Day, Poltava Mayor Oleksandr Mamai awarded “Caritas Poltava” with an honorary certificate in recognition of its support for charitable activities and humanitarian efforts in the Poltava region, as well as for its significant contribution to the development of the volunteer movement.

The Poltava City Council is grateful to Caritas Poltava for its constant support. The charity fund, one of the first to start charitable activities aimed at helping IDPs. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the foundation has remained a reliable center for those in need and continues to provide financial, psychological, legal, humanitarian, and housing assistance to IDPs.

The award was presented to Volodymyr Rakovetskyi, the director of the charitable organization, and Alla Rakovetskyi, head of the project “Extraordinary Response to the Humanitarian Crisis in Ukraine”, during a special ceremony at the Poltava Art Museum (Art Gallery).

The war is affecting thousands of people who have urgent humanitarian needs, from food and water to shelter and clothing. Managers and employees of the foundation are proud to be able to provide vital multifaceted assistance to the most vulnerable.

The mayor of Poltava expressed his gratitude to the entire team and employees for their active activity and professionalism.
