Prevention of human trafficking and domestic violence

This week, the Caritas Poltava children’s center held an informational and educational session for IDP teenagers with the participation of a child psychologist. The meeting was held with the aim of increasing the level of awareness of young people about the causes of human trafficking and how to protect yourself from falling into the dens of human traffickers, and the issue of family violence was also highlighted.

In such a difficult time as now, against the background of the war, it is necessary to talk with children, and especially with teenagers, because it is an integral part of their education. Qualified specialists actively communicate with our pupils, conduct various trainings and interviews, so that young people are competent and knowledgeable in matters of self-preservation.

This time, the child psychologist Caritas Poltava, as part of the #ADA project, gave a lecture to IDP teenagers about preventing human trafficking and domestic violence.

They discussed the importance of trusting relationships in the family, the importance of the family itself as a social unit, which should become a reliable shelter and protection from external stresses for a person.

The children were open in the discussion, showed curiosity, so the lesson was easy and relaxed.

Being on the same page with them is a great trust for us.
