“Child-friendly space” project. Restaurant etiquette
Pupils of the “Child-friendly Space” project were trained in restaurant etiquette at the Caritas Poltava Children’s Center.
Etiquette is, first of all, a manifestation of human dignity in relationships with others. Elaborate manners and upbringing are one of the main trends in children’s education, which will never go out of fashion. At Caritas Poltava, teachers try to develop humanity, tact and morality in children, so knowledge of table etiquette will be quite useful for them in promoting these skills. Etiquette is interesting.
Therefore, a master class on restaurant etiquette was recently held for the little ladies attending classes at Caritas Poltava.
They were able to immediately apply the basic principles of table behavior in practice.
The teachers gave several examples of table setting and invited the children to try to master this skill themselves. The mentor of the event also spoke about the rules for using cutlery and glassware.
They did not forget about behavior, gestures, a smile and a good posture. The children were also told about the first rule of etiquette – not to notice another person’s mistakes. This is considered incorrect. It is necessary to help a person if he is confused.
It was interesting, dynamic, fun, and most importantly, with the acquisition of new knowledge and skills.
The project was implemented with the support of the Austrian Development Agency and Caritas Österreich.
Children are the future of every nation.
