Subnational meeting-elections

On June 30, the sub-national meeting-elections of the coordination center of the Poltava region took place.

The Food Security and Livelihoods Cluster (FSLC) presented an overview of partners’ humanitarian response in Poltava for May 2023 and held a vote to elect a subnational coordinator.

The meeting was attended by representatives of 7 organizations that participated in the vote.

Organizations that nominated themselves for the role of coordinator in Poltava Oblast:

• Charitable Foundation “Caritas Poltava”

• Charitable organization “Light of Hope”

• Public organization “Adult Education Center of Poltava Region”.

Each nominee was given time to present their activities and motivation why they want to coordinate humanitarian work in their region.

According to the voting results, the largest number of votes (6 out of 7) was received by BF “Caritas Poltava”. Therefore, the coordination of humanitarian work in Poltava region in the direction of food security and means of livelihood will be headed by the representative of the charitable foundation – Daryna Kolisnyk.

The partners agreed to hold the next subnational coordination meeting of the cluster in Poltava region on July 14, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the address: Poltava, st. Pylypa Orlyka, 28
